 CliffedaleChandlers Club History
For many years Table Tennis has been introduced into our local primary and junior schools. Cliffedale Primary School on Northcliffe Road in Grantham started their introduction many years ago through the efforts of the (now retired) Head teacher, Mrs. Robinson and John Mapletoft.

This initiative has carried on throughout the school's life and is still supported in the school by the present Head teacher, Mr Robert Young with the invitation to play table tennis extended not only to the present pupils but also to those who are now ex-pupils of the school. Coaching is still provided by John Mapletoft at Cliffedale School and also in numerous schools thought the town.
With the school's involvement and pupil's enjoyment of the sport of table tennis, one of the school governors, Nigel Aspland, encouraged the pupils further with a donation of Trophies from Chandlers Farm Equipment.

It was from these roots that the present Club evolved and in September 1997 the Club became Cliffedale Chandlers Table Tennis Club. With the continued support of Chandlers, the Club has expanded and developed to offer training at venues throughout Grantham.
Cliffedale Chandlers takes pride in being able to offer training to anyone of any age or ability so whether just starting out or looking to play in the British League give us a try.
